Prayer of detachment to things of this earth which extinguish the warmth of the heart but brought back by attachment of our will to God's Will.

Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary August 22
Our Catholic faith is ever so rich in its worship of God, its doctrines and in its devotions.
This Feast is a devotion to Mary's Immaculate heart which is filled with a most perfect love for Jesus, for God.
The love of her heart is to be a model for the way we are to love God. Since Mary’s heart is Immaculate (sinless) she is the only non-divine person who is able to really love God in the way that He should be loved.
Honoring Mary's Immaculate Heart with a Feast Day is a most respectful way of honoring Mary as the person who was chosen to be the Mother of God and who fully cooperated in the divine plan of our salvation.
Thus we pray:
Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
